Job Duties
  1. Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, repair, recondition, and adjust equipment to ensure readiness for customer use.
  2. Complete all paperwork related to assigned equipment.
  3. Participate in all training programs as directed.
  4. Report unsafe or non-serviceable tools, equipment, or vehicles to the Service Manager.
  5. Communicate estimated labor times promptly.
  6. Track and follow-up on parts for ongoing jobs.
  7. Maintain tools in good condition according to MSHA and OSHA regulations.
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three to five years of technician experience or recent tech school degree
  • Own the necessary tools for an equipment technician
  • Extensive knowledge of construction or heavy equipment, including schematics and diagrams
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic diagnostic tools
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision
  • Team player
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Safety-first mindset
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Work environment similar to construction or heavy equipment yard and repair shop
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and lie in machinery for extended periods
  • Pass a physical upon hire
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and stop frequently
  • Complete a background check and drug screen successfully
