Job summary

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is seeking a Field Diesel & Hydraulics Technician to diagnose and repair complex systems on-site, across heavy trucks and mounted equipment. You will own end-to-end field service, interpret manuals, use diagnostic software, and lead troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems while prioritizing safety and uptime for utility and heavy-make customers.

Extensive travel, adherence to DOT and environmental rules, and documentation of inspections, labor time,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years as technician (shop and field).
• Valid CDL required (A or B).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end field service for truck chassis and mounted equipment.
• Interpret manuals and repair orders; use diagnostic software to locate issues.
• Diagnose and repair LMI and CAN bus faults.
• Lead troubleshooting for electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Document inspections, labor time, parts, and costs accurately.
