Job summary

Precision Drilling is seeking a Field Development Trainer to lead hands-on drilling training and onboarding for field personnel across North America. This role requires facilitating orientations, operating training equipment, and collaborating with partners to enhance learning experiences.

The ideal candidate has drilling experience, a strong safety record, and at least three years in training, with travel up to 50% to support field and shop locations across North America.

Qualifications

• Field experience with a proven safety record.
• Driller experience preferred with Alpha A&N knowledge.
• Three years of training experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new hire orientations, onboarding, and job-specific training for field personnel at all levels.
• Operate rig training equipment and deliver hands-on instruction (drilling experience preferred).
• Collaborate with colleagues and third-party providers to enhance training programs and ensure high-quality learning experiences.
• Support field and shop locations across North America, requiring up to 50% travel.
• Manage classroom logistics, mentor trainees, and provide problem-solving support during training.
• Represent Precision Drilling’s values and safety standards while leading by example and contributing to special projects.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
