Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Deployment Specialist to support emergency power deployments across California and the Western region. You will deploy, inspect, and move portable generator equipment at customer sites, respond to outages and disasters, and coordinate logistics with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently after training.
• Open availability and flexibility to support emergency response operations.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in changing field environments.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%, including overnight travel during emergency events.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Ability to safely tow trailers or willingness to complete company-provided training.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, positioning, retrieving, and supporting portable generator equipment at customer sites.
• Responding to emergency outages, storms, wildfires, PSPS activations, and disaster recovery situations.
• Driving company vehicles and towing generators and trailers to assigned locations.
• Performing equipment inspections, readiness checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Following scheduled refueling routes and supporting ongoing power restoration efforts.
• Maintaining accurate deployment, inspection, fuel, and service records.
• Supporting yard operations, equipment staging, and inventory movement when not deployed.
