Job summary

American Turbines, a seed-stage company building distributed power solutions, seeks a Power Electronics Engineer in San Francisco to own on-site integration of 800VDC interfaces. You will design, procure, and install power electronics between microturbines and the DC bus bar, and be on-site through commissioning to ensure the system performs as designed.

You will work hands-on during installation, bringing the design from paper to a working, verified installation and taking accountability for

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying power conversion equipment at industrial scale.
• Proficiency with AC-DC conversion, motor drives or grid-tie inverters.
• On-site installation and commissioning experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Own converting turbine output to the 800VDC bus on-site.
• Design, procure, and install power electronics between turbines and DC bus bar.
• Be on-site for installation and commissioning, from paper design to live system.
• Maintain end-to-end accountability during the installation process.
