Job summary

Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore seeks a Research Project Assistant to provide entry-level administrative support for a research project. You will assist with data collection, recruitment, and supporting outreach activities across Maryland salons, with comfort in field visits and events.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and six months of experience; willingness to drive within a 30-40 mile radius, and ability to work hybrid at the School of Public Health. FLSA non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of work experience.
• Equivalency may substitute for experience/education.
• Driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and organization per study requirements.
• Assist with setting up tools and procedures for data collection.
• Enter data into the database and run routine queries.
• Perform basic literature searches and support recruitment of participants.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts for outreach events in salons within a 30-40 mile radius of Baltimore.
• Support virtual and in-person events for Maryland salon workers.
