About Citylogix
Citylogix is a data and analytics company transforming how transportation infrastructure is managed. We build intelligent GIS and asset management solutions that help municipalities and engineering partners make smarter, evidence-based decisions. Combining startup agility with deep technical expertise, our team works at the intersection of geospatial technology and civil infrastructure to solve real-world challenges and build smarter, more resilient communities.
About the role
This is a single, multi-modal field role. Every technician on the Data Collection team is trained and expected to operate all our collection systems:
Assignments are driven by project requirements, not by individual preference or specialisation. A single project may require all three modes in the same week — or the same day.
Individual preference won’t be considered in assignments.
This is also a collection-only role. You capture data in the field using Citylogix's proprietary devices, applications, and methods; all processing, analysis, and deliverable production is handled by our office-based Processing, AI, and GIS teams.
Your responsibility is to bring back complete, accurate, well-documented field data — and to transfer it each day using our software and verification procedures.

This role has travel, schedule, and physical demands that differ substantially from a typical field job. We would rather be direct about them now than have you discover them in week three of a deployment.
You will travel, and often travel alone. Technicians are frequently deployed to project sites independently rather than as part of a crew. Deployments run for weeks at a time. Length is set by project scope and client schedule. During high season, you stay in the field. We cover travel to and from each deployment, accommodation, and per diem, but do not routinely provide interim return flights home between assignments during peak periods. Time off requires four weeks' notice, so that crew coverage and project schedules can be planned around it. Early starts. Shifts commonly begin at 6:00 AM and run 8–10 hours to make full use of available daylight. 5 to 6 days per week while deployed, including occasional weekend work and overtime. Full physical days in all three modes — up to 8 hours driving, or 8–10 hours riding an e-scooter, or 8–10 hours walking and measuring on foot, or a combination within the same day. You handle the gear. Daily setup, mounting, unmounting, and transport of collection equipment, some components exceeding 20 kg.If those conditions work for you, the rest of this role is a good one: real ownership, clear procedures, and a direct line of sight from your work to a city's capital plan.
