Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Technician- Field Operations to join our infrastructure engineering team in the United States. The role focuses on installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cabling with emphasis on racking and stacking data center equipment, ensuring proper connectivity and safety.

Ideal candidates will have experience with cabling, basic fiber knowledge, and the ability to follow procedures while delivering repeatable, high-quality outcomes and supporting

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in a technology discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
• Familiarity with standards like BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, NEC.
• Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI) preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license for company vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling and communications cabling.
• Rack and stack equipment; assist with cable management.
• Clean fiber and copper connections; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Follow Method of Procedure (MOP) and Change Method of Procedure (CMOP).
• Operate work ticket systems for infrastructure management.
• Read port maps and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform power distribution and cable management tasks.
• Coordinate with team members to complete projects and work orders.
• Maintain documentation per company standards; manage equipment inventory.
• Respond to emergencies to meet SLAs and escalate issues as needed.
• Conduct service swaps of live networking devices.
