Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center FieldOps Technician to join the infrastructure engineering team in Louisiana. The role focuses on installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cabling and data center equipment, with emphasis on racking, stacking, and physical connectivity while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The candidate will follow SOPs, manage cables, validate port maps, and participate in documenting tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in technology services or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in installing, servicing, maintaining low voltage cable infrastructure.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
• Familiarity with industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and local/National Electric Code.
• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., BICSI TECH).

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling and communications cabling.
• Rack and stack equipment; assist with cable management tasks.
• Clean fiber and copper connections; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Follow MOP and CMOP guidelines; use ticket systems.
• Read and validate port maps; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Handle power distribution and cable management tasks.
• Coordinate with team to complete projects and work orders.
• Follow safety regulations and document per standards.
• Maintain equipment and supplies inventory; respond to emergencies.
