Job summary

AgVantage FS in Iowa is seeking a dedicated field agronomy assistant for a full-time on-site role. You’ll apply crop inputs to fields following label rates, record application data, and help set up equipment for blending and delivery of products.

You must have a high school diploma and be able to obtain required pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses. A CDL with a good driving record is preferred, and you’ll work in varied weather and safely manage lifting up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses in states where inputs are applied.
• A knack for relationship building and problem-solving.
• Must be a team-player through and through!
• Ability to work with extreme noise and weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
• Ability to work in areas with dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards.
• Ability to work at varying heights and move up to 100lbs.
• CDL with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Applies crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following pesticide labels.
• Records application data according to regulations and standards.
• Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products.
• Blends products according to recommended rates and procedures.
