Job summary

City of Denton is seeking a Field Supervisor for Streets to lead crew activities, plan and coordinate maintenance projects, and ensure on-time completion with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling resources, monitoring performance, and enforcing City policies while coordinating with supervisors and stakeholders.

Must have drive to improve operations and safety compliance in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience required.
• Proven planning and scheduling abilities.
• Strong communication with team and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and field software.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in planning, scheduling, coordinating equipment, staff and other resources to complete operational requirements; track crew’s time and expenses on work management system.
• Monitor and perform maintenance work; adjust assignments to complete tasks, as needed.
• Assist supervisor by calculating materials and making recommendations on purchases for their crews’ needs.
• Operate equipment and perform duties of assigned staff, as needed.
• Coach and train assigned staff on safe methods; provide timely feedback.
