Job summary

MGX Equipment Services' Baltimore, MD branch is seeking a hands-on crane mechanic/technician to keep mobile cranes and lattice-boom cranes in peak condition onsite and in the field. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform inspections, and document findings with timely reports.

Schedule typically 7:00 am–4:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Travel up to 50% for job sites and training, a safety-focused environment, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 1+ year crane experience preferred.
• Mechanical foundation with hydraulics and electrical systems; able to read schematics for both.
• Preventive maintenance and light equipment repair experience (oil services, brake jobs).
• Travel readiness up to 50% for job sites and training.
• Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Light mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnosis and repair on mobile and lattice-boom cranes.
• Conduct accurate annual inspections and document findings.
• Complete work reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense documentation fully and on time.
• Deliver excellent, courteous customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
