American Contracting and Environmental Services is looking for a Field Coordinator to work at the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment plant in Washington, D.C. This full-time position requires a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, providing hands-on exposure to construction, project management, and field supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, relevant experience in field coordination, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role involves supporting field operations, coordinating activities, and maintaining safety compliance.
We are adding someone who takes pride in working with their hands and doesn’t mind getting dirty. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position spent almost entirely outdoors, with very little time behind a desk. You’ll be embedded with a high-performing teams working onsite at the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment plant in Washington DC for our premier client DC Water.
As a Field Coordinator, you’ll be immersed in the day-to-day realities of construction, learning by doing and building a strong foundation in both the trades and field supervision. Over time, you’ll develop a working knowledge of the core disciplines that drive our projects, including earthwork, concrete, mechanical piping, and mechanical equipment installation.
In addition to hands-on trade exposure, you’ll gain an understanding of how key subcontractors contribute to the success of complex water and wastewater projects. This includes working alongside and coordinating with teams specializing in electrical systems, instrumentation and controls (I&C), and HVAC. The goal is to develop not just technical skills, but a well-rounded perspective on how all components come together to deliver a successful project in the field.
