Job Summary/Purpose

Oversee the day-to-day execution of outsourced lighting work by coordinating contractor activities, directing them to ensure safe, compliant, and timely completion of assigned work, and initiating corrective actions while escalating any safety, quality, or performance issues that require supervisory intervention. The Field Coordinator verifies site access, permits, and conditions prior to work start and assesses job sites for access, environmental, and safety conditions. Assesses job scope and complexity to assign priorities and resourcing needs; coordinates and verifies material and equipment availability; secures permits and environmental clearances; validates designs are complete; develops switching or outage plans; prepares job sites with pre-staged materials and traffic control; and manages field paperwork and safety documentation including EWPIS, switching orders, and hot line holds. Provides daily field status updates documenting progress and issues; identifies process improvements related to access, materials, or coordination; and maintains documentation supporting field readiness procedures. During emergency and storm response, verifies site access and readiness and supports crews overcoming roadblocks while ensuring equipment and materials availability.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

Contractor Oversight and Field Execution- Coordinating and overseeing contractors who perform lighting installation, maintenance, and repair work. Ensure that contractors adhere to all safety requirements, work standards, and job specifications throughout their projects. Conducting regular field observations, visits, and inspections to verify that the work meets quality standards and complies with Power Delivery requirements. Audit work to confirm it meets established standards and provide sign-off on work order completion


Work Execution and Tracking- This role requires monitoring the progress of assigned lighting work and addressing any execution issues as they arise. Validate that work is completed correctly by confirming quantities, locations, and adherence to the defined scope. Responsible for ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure of work orders. Must ensure the recovery of accurate asset information to improve customer billing accuracy


Issue Resolution and Escalation- Identifying any safety, quality, or performance issues and taking corrective action with contractors to resolve them. When issues are complex or systemic in nature, you escalate them to the appropriate Lighting Supervisors as needed. This may include requiring contractors to perform additional work or determining when work should be insourced rather than contracted out


Coordination and Communication- Serve as the primary point of contact between contractors and internal teams to ensure assigned lighting work is completed on time, which includes coordinating material deliveries and other logistics. You provide regular status updates, issue visibility, and performance feedback to Lighting Supervisors to keep leadership informed. Additionally, you communicate directly with customers by confirming target completion dates for lighting work, providing status updates on work in progress when needed, and notifying them upon work completion


Emergency & Storm Response – Verify site access, permits, and conditions during emergency events; ensure site readiness; and support crews in the field to overcome roadblocks while ensuring equipment and materials are available to maintain restoration efforts.

Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability. Excellent interpersonal skills; team player. Experience in managing/executing capital and/or O&M projects. Thorough understanding of procedures, programs, and standards. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously. Knowledge of utility electric system design and operations. Knowledge of budgets, financial procedures, and property accounting.



  • Outstanding written and verbal skills include the ability to clearly communicate and express self well in groups and one-on-one conversations.

  • Strong conflict resolution skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in analytical tools including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

  • General understanding of distribution operations’ processes, and systems.

  • Knowledge and experience of Entergy Contractor management requirements and processes desirable.

  • Knowledge of Entergy’s Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices desirable
