Entergy in Little Rock seeks a Lead Distribution Lighting Designer to oversee and coordinate external contract lighting design work, ensuring build-ready, compliant packages delivered on schedule to minimize field rework and support reliable construction outcomes.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2–3 years in the utility sector, with strong leadership, project management, and MS Office skills.
Work Place Flexibility: Onsite
Lead Distribution Lighting Designer oversees and coordinates contract lighting design execution, serving as the primary owner of external designer work. Ensures designs are accurate, build-ready, compliant with standards, and delivered on schedule to minimize field rework and support reliable construction outcomes. Reviews and approves design packages as a quality gate, incorporates field feedback and as-built learnings, and monitors contractor performance against cycle time and quality targets. Provides technical guidance and clarification to contract designers, manages work allocation across design firms, and escalates capacity, quality, or schedule risks. Approves lighting projects before release for construction execution.
Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability. Excellent interpersonal skills; team player. Experience in managing/executing capital and/or O&M projects. Thorough understanding of procedures, programs, and standards. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously. Knowledge of utility electric system design and operations. Knowledge of budgets, financial procedures, and property accounting.
Working knowledge of Entergy safe work rules associated in the installation and maintenance of lighting products. Ability to perform quality engagement with internal and external field personal.
Ability to manage budgets associated with lighting maintenance and repair
Applies understanding of how the team relates to other closely related teams to improve efficiency of own sub-function/business unit.
