OBR Management is seeking a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician for New York City. The role involves thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks to keep equipment safe and compliant; travel to customer sites in the NYC area is required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in power washing or industrial cleaning; be prepared for early starts, overtime, and working at heights or in confined spaces; safety and professionalism are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience power washing or industrial cleaning.
• Prior experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved cleaning methods.
• Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures for each task.
• Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up.
• Accurately follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Complete required safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork.
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling procedures.
• Read and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) as required.
• Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic while representing the company at client sites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
