Job summary

OBR Management in New York City seeks a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician to perform thorough power washing of cooling towers and water storage tanks. Travel to client sites across the NYC area is required; safety and attention to detail are essential.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma and experience in power washing or industrial cleaning; ability to work early mornings, nights and overtime when needed; access to a vehicle is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in power washing or industrial cleaning.
• Willingness to travel and work variable shifts.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and read SDS/MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks with power washing equipment.
• Operate power washers safely, selecting spray heads and pressures.
• Assist with system preparation and cleanup.
• Follow supervisor instructions to complete projects safely and on schedule.
• Complete safety documentation like Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork.
• Follow all safety policies including PPE usage and chemical handling.
• Read and apply Safety Data Sheets as required.
• Maintain professional conduct while at client sites.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
