Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or 2 years of HVAC service experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management systems.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Leadership to support Mechanics on non-complex Building Automation equipment.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC-related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Respond to basic warranty calls and provide service-related support at the customer site.
• Load system-level controller software and complete basic commissioning and diagnostics.
• Complete commissioning records, on-site documentation, time sheets, expense reports, and as-built updates accurately.
• Communicate job progress, open issues, arrival, and departure with the customer, contractor, and management.
• Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment and verify proper operation.
• Recommend solutions that improve facility efficiency, including opportunities to support quotes and additional service work.
• Follow safety standards, attend required safety training, and maintain a strong focus on the safety of employees and subcontractors.
