University of Utah is seeking a content creator who travels to events across the state to capture founders, researchers, and policymakers, turning discoveries into compelling content that lands on social media.

You'll work directly with GOED's Nucleus Institute leadership, gaining access to innovation initiatives and priorities and a front-row seat to their unfolding strategies. This role offers flexible hours and real-world storytelling opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a Utah institution of higher education.
• Strong analytical and research skills; able to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Attend events across the state and create real-time content.
• Identify emerging companies, research breakthroughs, and policy developments to cover.
• Produce short-form video, photo, and written content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
• Help shape an ongoing content calendar and pitch story ideas.
• Collaborate with the Startup State initiative and the Utah Elevated/Convergence initiative at GOED.
• Track engagement and adjust content strategy based on performance.
