Job summary

Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC is seeking a Superintendent I at Ft. Benning, GA to manage day-to-day field operations on construction projects. You will oversee production, ensure work aligns with contract documents, and foster a safe and orderly worksite.

The role requires coordinating look-ahead schedules, maintaining dimensional controls, and ensuring quality through inspections and correct installations. Leadership of staff and collaboration with clients are essential.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Construction Management or similar field with 4-7 years of related experience or Journeyman status in a building trade with 10+ years of progressive responsibility supervising construction.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field activities to meet milestone dates and schedule.
• Create and maintain short-interval look-ahead project schedules.
• Maintain a culture valuing safety, health and cleanliness.
• Coordinate work to meet contract standards and best-practice expectations.
• Establish and maintain dimensional controls; use third-party survey if needed.
• Ensure work is installed plumb, level, and aligned with quality expectations.
• Provide proactive issue identification and solution facilitation two weeks out.
• Ensure inspections are completed and quality documented.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
• Administer client programs (CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship).
• Attend pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings; report status to client.
