Job summary

O&G Industries, Inc., based in Torrington, CT, seeks experienced Building Construction Superintendents to join our growing team. For over a century, O&G has delivered major CT projects, including K-12 schools, higher education facilities, municipal buildings, healthcare campuses, and commercial developments.

You will lead daily field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, ensure quality and safety, and drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of building construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, and field operations.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling, planning, and cost control.
• Ability to manage crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety (OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily field operations on assigned construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain schedule and productivity.
• Ensure work meets quality standards, contract documents, and project specifications.
• Promote and enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance.
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient job sites.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and project teams to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Implement Lean construction practices to improve efficiency and workflow.
