Clark Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Southeast Michigan to support field leadership on commercial construction projects. You will assist the Superintendent with short-term planning, scheduling, safety leadership, quality control, and coordination with trade partners to keep work on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field role.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and schedules.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication with clients, project teams, and trade partners.
• Ability to manage risk and support cost control efforts.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning and coordinating short-term jobsite activities with trade contractors.
• Support development and maintenance of the project schedule and three-week lookahead planning.
• Monitor contractor performance for alignment with timelines and requirements.
• Facilitate approvals and documentation with architects, engineers, and authorities.
• Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards on site.
• Assist with project close-out and ensure work meets company standards.
• Maintain detailed daily reports of site activity, progress, and events.
• Track labor hours and submit trade hours and labor reports.
• Participate in and help lead onsite coordination and progress meetings.
