Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. offers a 3-month DOD SkillBridge Construction Project Representative program located across Minnesota and Wisconsin. You will support construction observations, staking, records, and submittal review while working with our field crew and engineering staff.

The role emphasizes outdoor work, site interaction with owners, contractors, and the project team; military service members with up to 180 days left before separation are encouraged to apply. Relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a Military Service Member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before your separation date.
• Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
• General knowledge of public infrastructure/civil construction and AutoCAD drafting is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation; reimbursement for business travel; motor vehicle record check on onboarding.

Responsibilities

• You will assist with construction observations and construction staking on assigned projects.
• You will maintain detailed records and documentation of construction activities, along with recording quantities and materials testing.
• You will perform basic engineering computations and make basic engineering survey measurements.
• You will gain experience reviewing and approving project submittals, contract pay vouchers, work orders, change orders and supplemental agreements.
• This position will interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.
