Thomas & Hutton in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a Construction Observer/Project Administrator to support municipal infrastructure projects, collaborate with contractors, clients, and engineering teams, and grow within a private employee‑owned firm.

You will review plans, prepare daily reports, manage documentation, and help deliver projects on schedule while maintaining safety standards. This on‑site role offers mentoring and tuition assistance for career growth.

Qualifications

• Construction Management degree or equivalent construction field experience.
• TN erosion control certification Level 1 or ability to obtain after hire.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training or ability to complete after hire.
• 5+ years construction observation/management experience preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering plans/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation services for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Serve as liaison between project managers and contractors.
• Assist project managers with contract administration and documentation.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and project correspondence.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
• Visit project sites to monitor activities and verify compliance with plans and specs.
