Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring in accordance with project specs. You will produce timely reports, operate company vehicle safely, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with our technical team while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• +2 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable for an incentive program.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• TWIC card (preferred).
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" schedule and willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and cylinders).
• Perform soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Conduct Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and other soil tests.
• Perform asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Monitor piles during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow corporate safety procedures at all times.
• Follow all procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Arrive at dispatched job sites on time.
• Communicate with dispatch daily.
• Communicate with onsite clients daily and relay information to management.
