Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee installation activities for building automation and control systems.

You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality, serving as the primary field liaison among project teams, subcontractors, and general contractors. Responsibilities include coordinating labor plans, managing schedules with Smartsheet, and resolving site-level issues with engineering and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• Proven experience managing construction activities for building automation, controls, or related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field teams across active job sites.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction and installation activities for control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, project management, and subcontractor teams to develop schedules.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work meets project requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Review and interpret drawings and technical documents to guide installation.
• Maintain records of progress, changes, and completed work; report to stakeholders.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure PPE compliance.
• Track KPIs and report progress to leadership.
