Job summary

Control Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Management Systems Project Manager to supervise and coordinate BAS/BMS installation in a construction setting.

The candidate will oversee installation subcontractors and coordinate related construction activities, with familiarity in controls, BMS, BAS, DDC, Building Automation, and Energy Management Systems. The role emphasizes managing multiple automation projects, maintaining contracts, and delivering on time within budget, with up to 25%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in HVAC control and automation or equivalent industry experience in the NYC Metro area.
• Extensive computer and automation experience.
• Thorough understanding of the construction process.
• Demonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
• Competent working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
• Able to write, edit and understand sequences of operations.
• Able to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with consulting engineers regarding design, implementation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of Automated Logic controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple automation installation projects while remaining organized.
• Maintain project accounting and contracts.
• Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with company members, clients, subcontractors, and other contacts.
• Anticipate and meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
• Understand and conform to company policies and procedures.
• Recognize and utilize the company’s resources effectively and efficiently.
• Plan, organize and carry out assigned job responsibilities within established time parameters.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Continuously seek to improve knowledge of required job skills and stay abreast of industry changes.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management.
• Travel Required up to 25%.
