Description

Ledcor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Construction Manager to oversee our daily field operations. This key role ensures project delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The successful candidate will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. This position requires the ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Ensure projects adhere to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes.
2. Oversee quality testing and manage conformance to the Project Quality Plan (PQP) on site.
3. Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed safety manuals and regulatory standards.
4. Lead project safety meetings and contribute to developing the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
5. Monitor construction schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
6. Estimate activity durations and material requirements for multi-discipline estimates.
7. Provide guidance to field staff and coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
8. Supervise craft employees and subcontractors regarding safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
9. Prepare purchase requisitions and review invoices from subtrades and suppliers.

Qualifications:

1. Two to five years of construction experience as a foreman, lead hand, or similar supervisory role.
2. Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma (preferred).
3. Understanding of current construction practices, documents, costs, and budgets.
4. Ability to plan and manage project schedules and develop solutions for moderate issues within guidelines.
5. Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and team management.
6. Strong organizational and planning skills.

Working Conditions:

1. Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
2. This is a site-based role requiring 100% travel.
