Job summary

Spacex in Starbase, Texas is seeking a Senior Engineering Construction Manager to lead field power-plant construction projects. This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on civil, mechanical, and electrical installation through mechanical completion and handoff to commissioning.

You will direct contractors and staff, own the daily plan, enforce safety and quality standards, manage tie-ins and lifts, and coordinate outages to ensure on-time startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of field leadership experience in utility-scale power-plant construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction for gas turbine power plants and balance of plant.
• Direct contractors and site staff; own the daily plan.
• Manage craft and subcontract crews; set loading by area.
• Enforce safety, quality, and schedule; stop incorrect work.
• Own site safety program: LOTO, permits, hot work, NFPA 70E.
• Set quality hold points for welding, NDE, hydrotest, and alignments.
• Sequence installation to support timely commissioning.
• Manage OEM/EPC field presence, lifts and tie-ins.
• Plan outages and energizations around energized equipment on site.
• Verify quantities and progress; manage field changes and turnover.
