French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks a Construction Inspector in Hackettstown, NJ. The role involves observing and inspecting utilities, roadways, and municipal infrastructure, ensuring compliance with plans and standards, and documenting field conditions and progress.

Responsibilities include evaluating shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders, supporting schedule updates, and maintaining safety and quality on site. Travel to multiple projects may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction inspection or observation on land development/municipal projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with field reporting or construction management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect construction activities for land development and municipal projects.
• Monitor contractor work for compliance with approved plans, permits, and standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports documenting progress, site conditions, quantities, and on-site workforce/equipment.
