Qualifications
- Field inspection experience on transportation, buildings, rail infra, or civil projects.
- Strong ability to interpret plans and specifications and apply codes.
- Proficiency with digital construction documentation systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify construction work for compliance with plans, specs, CTDOT standards, railroad requirements, and codes.
- Observe highway/bridge, buildings, and rail/transit work as assigned.
- Monitor contractor safety, environmental permits, and PPE protocols.
- Identify nonconforming work and coordinate corrective actions with the Resident Engineer.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain field documentation.
