Bernalillo County is seeking a Construction Inspector for the Public Works - Technical Services department. The role involves monitoring inspections of roadways, bridges, and utilities, and preparing period reports to track progress and costs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of related field experience, with certifications in concrete testing and densometer preferred. Fieldwork is outdoors and may involve exposure to various weather conditions.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years' experience in general public works construction.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Mansioni

• Monitor the inspection of roads, bridges, drainage facilities, buildings, underground utilities, and other construction projects to ensure work quality and progress align with schedules and specs.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports on work performed, including progress, quality, and estimated costs.
• Verify plans, specifications, and contract documents for compliance.
• Maintain documentation of contractor work in IPM Construction Management System and related records.
