Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Construction Inspector to support highway/public works projects from our Maryland offices in Baltimore, Frederick, or Salisbury. You will review drawings, perform field calculations, test soils and materials, and coordinate with the team and contractors.

Strong communication and documentation skills are essential. Applicants should be willing to work outdoors in varying weather, overtime, and hold OSHA 10 Hour Safety and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain OSHA 10 Hour Safety and related certifications.
• Experience reviewing drawings and performing field measurements for highway/public works.

Responsibilities

• Work in the field at construction sites as a Construction Inspector for highway/public works projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and perform mathematical calculations based on field measurements.
• Test materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt as determined by project need.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, owner, project team, and the public.
• Prepare clear daily field reports with photos and sketches.
• Work overtime/nights/weekends as required.
