Job summary

DNT Construction, LLC is seeking a Construction Grade Checker to support rough and precise grading on job sites. The role requires reading plans, laying out crews, directing cut/fill, and setting hubs and stakes. You will compute grades, volumes, and production rates while following OSHA and DNT safety policies.

Overtime is common, and bilingual ability is a plus. The position is full-time, non-management, and based in the field with outdoors work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools is necessary.
• Training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications.
• Ability to observe, direct, and control excavation to conform to stake references and communicate with operators.

Responsibilities

• Understand plans and specs and lay out crews and project.
• Provide clear direction for cut/fill and grade setup.
• Set up hubs and stakes; calculate percentages, volumes, areas, and production rates.
