Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking an experienced coordinator for structural steel projects in Northern California. The role covers documentation flow, field issue resolution, and coordination with a wide network including PMs, architects, inspectors, and fabricators to ensure compliance with project specs.

The position requires five years of related experience, with degrees potentially substituting for portions of this requirement.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience coordinating structural steel projects.
• Associate degree or training may substitute for two years of required experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Business may substitute for three years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accurate documentation flow to support change orders and field work activities.
• Maintain accurate logs and keep records and files for “as-built” information.
• Coordinate, prepare, submit, and oversee resolution of field related issues, RFIs, non-conformances, corrective actions, Field Discrepancy Reports (FDRs), and other jobsite issues.
