Job summary

Schuff Steel is seeking a Project Manager to lead the construction of assigned structural steel projects from inception to completion. You will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables stay within scope and budget while coordinating with multiple departments to execute projects smoothly.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of PM experience in structural steel, with proficiency in Tekla, Primavera, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Business preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of fabrication and erection standards and procedures.
• General knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Ability to read and interpret shop and design blueprint drawings.
• Proven ability to manage several large, commercial and industrial projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of a project from start to finish to meet time and budget constraints.
• Work with clients to ensure deliverables stay within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure project execution and documentation.
• Interface with owners, architects, engineers, contractors and field crews to verify completeness of drawings.
• Monitor change orders and ensure proper accounting and reporting.
