Job summary

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) is seeking a Construction Representative to join our Construction Services team in Rochester, MN.

You will monitor transportation, civil, and municipal projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, while documenting daily field activities and material testing. The role supports preconstruction meetings, prepares change orders, and coordinates with clients and SEH colleagues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in the construction field.
• Ability to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions; prepare and negotiate construction change orders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and SEH team members.
• May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules and completing constructability reviews.
