Job summary

Speedwell Construction, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day field operations on commercial projects. The role blends hands-on field work with learning critical aspects of project management, safety, quality, and team coordination.

You will assist with planning, subcontractor coordination, material logistics, and safety compliance while developing leadership and technical skills on active sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• OSHA 10 Construction certification is required.
• Basic ability to read construction drawings is required.
• Entry-level commercial or residential construction experience is required.
• Basic working knowledge of IT systems is required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Multi-story construction experience including post-tension concrete is a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience working across multiple construction trades is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled construction work across multiple trades to support daily field operations and project progress.
• Assist with daily planning and coordination of subcontractor activities for workflow, site logistics, and schedule milestones.
• Support the Superintendent with short-interval planning and crew coordination.
• Assist with coordination of material deliveries and staging to prevent delays or congestion.
• Support jobsite safety compliance by monitoring OSHA requirements and Safety Standards.
