Job summary

BlockRock South LLC seeks a Field Computer Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, POS systems, and vending hardware for small businesses across our Virginia service area, including Alexandria.

This hands-on, travel-intensive role is 90%+ field-based, with on-site support, repairs, and user training. We offer competitive pay and 100% reimbursement for gas, tolls, and parking, plus benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining hardware and software in field settings.
• Ability to travel daily and work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.
• Familiarity with ATMs, kiosks, or vending hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve issues on Windows/UNIX and networks.
• Travel to client sites for on-site support and training.
• Document repairs and maintain service records.
• Be on call for urgent support and deliveries.

BRS is hiring on behalf of our long-standing client, a leading B2B provider of vending machines, POS systems, and coin-operated equipment, who is expanding its technical team! We're seeking a proactive problem-solver to install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware/software for small business clients across our service area around the city and surrounding suburbs (150-mile radius).

Who You Are:

• A tech-savvy professional withfield experiencein hardware/software troubleshooting and installations.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, configure, and upgradehardware/software (desktops, laptops, peripherals, ATMs, vending machines, etc.).
• Diagnose and resolveissues with Windows/UNIX systems, networks (wired/wireless), and virtual desktop environments.
• Perform preventative maintenanceand optimize equipment performance.
• Travel to client sites(90%+ field-based) to provide on-site support, repairs, and user training.
• Test and deployhard drive images and new technology.
• Document repairsand maintain accurate service records.
• Be on callfor urgent technical support and deliveries.
