Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co., a family-owned construction and service company, seeks a Service Compliance Technician to perform state-required inspections, testing, and ensure containment sumps are watertight at client sites.

The role includes driving a company vehicle, using testing devices, and submitting paperwork promptly. You will work in a field environment, travel as needed, and follow safety practices while delivering reliable service and customer support.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able and willing to travel and stay out of town.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Familiarity with operating a computer and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
• Must be able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Follow all company safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections/testing required by the state to ensure fueling and monitoring equipment is operating properly.
• Inspect containment sumps and ensure they are watertight.
• Communicate professionally with customers, fellow employees, and inspectors.
• Maintain company vehicles, supplies, and equipment.
• Complete assigned compliance testing and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
• Utilize testing devices and hand/power tools related to the job.
• Other duties as assigned.
