Job summary

MVI Field Services is seeking a Field Compliance Inspector to perform visual inspections of Underground Storage Tank systems and fuel pumps at major convenience store chains across the region.

The role requires no prior experience and provides full training. You will travel occasionally, drive a company truck, and maintain compliance with EPA UST regulations while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

POSITION TITLE: Field Compliance Inspector

DEPARTMENT: MVI Field Services

REPORTS TO: Regional Compliance Manager

DESCRIPTION: Perform visual inspections of Underground Storage Tank (UST) Systems and Fuel Pumps at major convenience store chains, in accordance with Federal, State, and other applicable UST Regulations, as well as within client requirements. Represent and promote MVI Field Services in a courteous and cordial manner, building client confidence and maximum efficiency for the business. Extremely flexible position with autonomy.

NO previous experience is required, all inspectors will be properly trained.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to drive and maintain company service truck. This includes a clean driving record and the ability to store a company vehicle at your home
• Ability to travel overnight approx 3 nights per month (company absorbs expenses)
• Be in possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Complete Class A/B Operator training and certification
• Remain current on State and Federal EPA USTS requirements
• Inspect Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) and fuel facilities for compliance with UST regulatory requirements
• Replace components and parts such as decals, gaskets, riser caps and manway covers, etc.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good operating condition, including having vehicle serviced for preventative maintenance
• Keep abreast of changes to equipment manufactures specifications and State UST Regulations
• Develop a working knowledge of client Underground Storage Tank Systems (USTS) components
• Responsible for following company expense policy and submitting all itemized receipts for expenses by the 7 th of each month
• Submit all reports timely and accurately, including monthly schedules and expenses in the appropriate software systems
• Ability to meet with clients and state regulators

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
• Must be able to kneel, stand, lean, bend and/or sit while working
• Basic computer skills, and ability to navigate applications on Smart Phones
• Must be able and willing to work in an outdoor environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Maintain a professional appearance including wearing company-provided attire
• Maintain a friendly and positive attitude with Client representatives

EXPECTATIONS:

• Inspectors are expected to thoroughly inspect all sites on the assigned route based on the monthly schedule submitted
• Inspectors may set their own schedule, with no more than 8 inspections scheduled per day
