We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Communications Technician III to ensure our field assets stay connected, secure, and operating at peak performance. This critical role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of technological advancements, collaborating with diverse teams to maintain seamless communication networks that drive our operations forward.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • Proven expertise in field communications, including RF coverage analysis, microwave path design, and wireless system installations.
  • Strong knowledge of DC electronics, basic AC electrical systems, and networking protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, routing, switching).
  • Experience supervising contractor activities, coordinating installations, and adhering to safety standards.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network outages efficiently.
  • Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety procedures, as well as FCC and FAA regulations related to communication infrastructure.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with proficiency in maintaining inventories and reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and relevant communication tools.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with areal topographic analysis and line-of-sight (LOS) path studies.
  • Knowledge of 2-way radio systems, serial radio systems, and microwave communications.
  • Certifications in electrical or radio systems, or relevant safety training.
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting and lighting standards for structures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in communications, network infrastructure, or a related technical field.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to participate actively in safety programs and uphold company policies.
  • Ability to travel as needed for site inspections and installations.
  • Knowledge of FCC filings, FAA requirements, and obstruction lighting standards.
