Job summary

U.S. Electrical Testing is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical equipment both in the field and manufacturing environments.

The role requires understanding complex distribution systems and contributing to a safe work environment, with periodic travel to customer sites. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent education and will be proficient in technical writing,

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant electrical experience with HS diploma or GED, or 6+ years with an associate's degree, or 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.

Responsibilities

Assist commissioning specialists with coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables.
Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets.
Perform basic routine electrical calculations.
Review supplier documentation for compliance with specifications.
Use engineering standards websites to access guides and standards.
Maintain knowledge of commissioning, inspection, and testing of electrical components.
Demonstrate proficiency in technical writing.
Willing to travel to customer sites periodically.
