Job summary

Advanced Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a Traveling CNC Maintenance Technician Specialist in East Hartford, CT.

This full-time role involves expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance on CNC equipment across customer sites, with significant travel across the region and nationally. Ideal candidates have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, and can source parts, perform wiring and mechanical repairs, and train junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus; 12 years related experience, or 15 years in industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and programming software as appropriate.
• Extensive travel required (local and national).

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance across devices and systems.
• Identifies and sources parts and repair items; evaluates alternatives for cost and reliability.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards; creates standards/instructions.
• Directs customer counterparts in maintenance optimization and reliability efforts.
• May setup/operate multiple machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding.
