Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years repairing claims involving heavy trucks or trailers.
• Experience with Heavy Commercial truck and trailer repairs.
• Strong understanding of body shop operations, repair processes, estimating procedures.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment construction, repair methods, and damage assessment.
• Experience negotiating repair estimates and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of damaged Heavy Commercial Trucks and Trailers.
• Investigate physical damage claims and determine the scope of damages.
• Evaluate repair costs, repair feasibility, and total loss exposures.
• Prepare accurate damage assessments and maintain detailed claim documentation.
• Coordinate with insureds, repair facilities, body shops, and vendors to facilitate timely repairs.
• Manage claims efficiently to minimize downtime and help insureds return to normal operations.
• Review estimates and negotiate repair costs to ensure fair and cost-effective resolutions.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with repair facilities and body shops.
