Job summary

Kiewit’s Southeast District is seeking a Civil Quality Inspector to support field quality activities on heavy civil construction projects in Port St. Lucie, FL.

You will work closely with field crews, performing visual inspections, coordinating testing, and communicating with third-party testing agencies and USACE inspectors. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of civil construction means and methods, earthwork operations, testing requirements, and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or 5+ years of related civil construction experience.
• CQM-C certification or ability to complete within 6 months of appointment.
• Experience with earthwork, embankment operations, testing coordination, and field inspection practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of earthwork and embankment operations.
• Coordinate required field testing with third-party testing agencies and USACE inspectors.
• Record GPS locations of testing activities using rover equipment.
• Maintain accurate field inspection and quality documentation.
