Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. (IEI) seeks a Civil Engineer Inspector to support the Cincinnati, OH / Northern Kentucky area.

This early-career role offers hands-on experience on a major transportation program, working with the Resident Engineer and project team in the field to ensure compliance with plans and standards. You will document construction activity, assist with testing and progress tracking, and participate in meetings and safety briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience or high school/GED with 4+ years in construction inspection.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Ability to read/interprete construction drawings and communicate technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction inspection activities for bridge, roadway, ramp, and related infrastructure work.
• Observe construction activities and verify work conforms to plans, specs, and standards.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, field notes, quantities, photos, and records.
• Assist with tracking quantities and documenting construction progress.
• Support materials testing, verification, and documentation as needed.
• Participate in project meetings and field coordination as assigned.
