Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Civil Engineer Inspector to support a major transportation program in the Cincinnati, Ohio/Northern Kentucky area.

The role offers field exposure inspecting bridges, roadways, and related infrastructure, working with Resident Engineers and contractors. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of field inspection experience, familiarity with plan/contract documentation, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant field or construction inspection experience; three+ years preferred.
• Associate degree with two years related inspection experience may be considered.
• High school diploma or GED with at least four years of related inspection experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work under the general direction of a Senior Construction Inspector or Resident Engineer.
• Perform daily construction inspection activities for bridge, roadway, ramp, and related infrastructure work.
• Observe construction activities and verify compliance with plans, specs, and agency standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, field notes, quantity records, photographs, and project documentation.
• Measure and track installed quantities and document construction progress.
• Support material sampling, testing, verification, and documentation activities as required.
• Review drawings, plans, specs, and contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Identify and communicate construction issues, quality concerns, or safety concerns to the project lead.
• Coordinate withContractors, project staff, consultants, client representatives, and stakeholders.
