Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Field (Cathodic Protection) Technician to join our growing team and take on an outdoor, travel-intensive role in the United States. You will learn from in-house experts and potentially advance toward CP design and certifications.

The position emphasizes operating testing equipment, data gathering, and reporting while adhering to safety guidelines. Competitive benefits and significant overtime accompany field duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degrees preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to travel extensively for physically demanding outdoor work
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and use general hand/power tools
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
• Commitment to working safely and producing high quality service
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented, with ability to collaborate with project managers and engineers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to learn basic cathodic protection and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Work safely by adhering to LSC and client guidelines and procedures
• Prepare for planned cathodic protection projects
• Complete and maintain operator qualifications (OQs)
• Operate and use testing equipment
• Perform troubleshooting on cathodic protection systems
• Gather data and prepare records and reports in a timely manner
• Install, maintain and repair components of a cathodic protection system
• Ensure work aligns with company goals
• Comply with technical procedures and guidelines
