Job description

AV Housing Solutions is a real estate development and redevelopment company based in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

We create high-quality housing through both ground-up development and the redevelopment of undervalued properties. Our projects include affordable rental housing, full residential renovations, and for-sale homes built with first-time home buyers in mind.

We believe affordable housing should never mean compromising on quality. Our mission is to transform undervalued properties into clean, safe, and beautiful homes, giving working families across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan places they are proud to call home.

Our work sits at the intersection of real estate, construction, operations, and community impact. We identify housing opportunities, develop practical project plans, execute construction, and deliver homes that create long-term value for residents, buyers, neighborhoods, and our community.

Our field team is the backbone of that mission!

Our Values:
  • Faith and Family First
  • Extreme Ownership
  • Everything is Figure-out-able
  • Agility
The Kind of Work We Do

Our projects are practical, hands-on, and purpose-driven.

  • Multi-family and Single Family residential projects
  • Affordable rental housing
  • Housing projects designed to create long-term value in Upper Peninsula communities

Field work may include light interior framing, layout adjustments, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, trim, cabinets, exterior repairs, punch-list work, and other construction tasks that move projects from plan to completion.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a practical builder, strong teammate, and future leader.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on carpentry experience and enjoys construction work, but also wants to understand the bigger picture. This person cares about how field work affects the project, the budget, the schedule, the buyer or resident, and the long-term value of the property.

You may be a good fit if you are:

  • A hands-on builder who enjoys solving real field problems
  • A clear communicator who asks good questions
  • A steady teammate who helps others get better
  • A growth-minded person who wants a future in construction and real estate leadership
  • Someone who cares about quality, efficiency, and community impact
  • Someone who wants to help build attainable housing for renters and first-time home buyers across Marquette County
  • Someone who can work hard, stay organized, and keep projects moving
  • Someone who takes pride in doing work that matters

You do not need to have every answer today. You do need to be dependable, coachable, thoughtful, and hungry to grow.
